The Friendship Circle Israel

Friendship Circle Israel is part of the international volunteer organization called Friendship Circle, designed to offer children with disabilities and their families a broad based support system in the spirit of Jewish tradition, culture and education and effectively engage the talents of teenage volunteers to make a difference in disabled youngsters' lives.

The lives of special needs children and their families are filled with appointments, and disappointments, however all too often they are lacking the warmth of friendship. To that end, Friendship Circle was developed.

Specially trained youth are paired with special needs children, meeting in the afternoon hours for conversation and quality time together. This provides the special needs child with a friend and their families with a brief respite wherein they can focus on their other children and themselves.
